Entry-Level Territory Sales Representative: East South Central & South Atlantic Territories

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role, upon the successful completion of our 90-day product training and company orientation program, the candidate will transition to the position of Territory Sales Representative for ERP and CRM software products. The Territory Sales Representative will be focused on selling software products and services to new accounts. Responsibilities include the sale of primarily ERP and CRM software products as well as enhancements and other appropriate business solutions to prospective clients. Business solutions may include: product, implementation and support, training and consulting services.

At first, during the 90-day product training and company orientation period, the successful candidate will be under the direct supervision of a senior staff member. Duties and instruction will likely include:

  • Company history overview
  • Detailed instruction of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution and CRM offering
  • Including in-depth product demonstration training
  • Overview of markets and how we compete with competition
  • How to record leads, sales and order information using Company’s CRM system
  • Detailed instruction on how to use Company’s lead generation and marketing tools
  • Prospecting of new customers, cultivating / expanding existing accounts
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
  • Providing prospects and customers with quotations
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales

Upon the successful completion of the 90-day orientation period, you will transition from direct supervision of the senior staff member and report directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

The Territory Sales Representative is expected to be highly motivated and someone who has a strong commitment to delivering an excellent experience.

The Territory Sales Representative is expected to follow a proven sales process from prospecting to closing, with proven results. Excellent time management, communication, and collaboration skills are required.

This individual must develop strong working relationships with other team members in order to support the optimal customer experience. It is important that the Territory Sales Representative has the interpersonal skills to work effectively with a number of different types of people, including but not limited to colleagues, prospects, and customers.

Territory Representative s Responsibilities Include:

  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets with new and current customers, and maintaining expenses within budget
  • Demonstrating effective customer-oriented sales skills, exceptional relationship building, qualifying skills, group presentation, and closing skills
  • Managing the sales cycle from the initial contact through to the close of the sale
  • Developing a pipeline of qualified leads through personal initiative, planning, networking, marketing activities, and execution to achieve annual sales targets
  • Demonstrating competence in qualifying, presenting, and demonstrating the product offerings that you will be selling
  • Continuing to hone sales skills by investing in ongoing professional development including all relevant sales training
  • Representing the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Ensuring all prospects / customers are reference-able
  • Maintaining accurate and timely data in our internal customer database
  • Track and update leads and opportunities in MIE Solutions’ CRM system
  • Staying current on all products and industry trends
  • Gaining competitive knowledge and understanding how to best position the service offerings in the sales process
  • Achieving a minimum performance of 100% of quota by the end of the first year of work by developing and executing an annual plan including: sales targets, target customers, activity metrics, and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Travel within your assigned territory will be common and some extended travel will be required; the Territory Sales Manager must have his/her own vehicle, a valid driver’s license and insurance

Required Skills and Experience

  • This is an entry ERP software sales opportunity where extensive sales training will be provided
  • Overall understanding of business processes and sales processes is required
  • Effective relationship builder; ability to develop trusting relationships with prospects, customers, team members, management, and industry influencers
  • Strong drive towards superior customer satisfaction and proven ability to WOW customers

  • Applicants with manufacturing, job shop, or custom fabrication background and processes are highly encouraged to apply.

Compensation includes:

  • A generous base salary ($40,000+commissions)
  • A generous, uncapped, annualized commissions
